DRAFT INTEGRATED WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN (IWMP) FOR PUBLIC
COMMENTS AND CONSULTATION
In accordance with the requirements of the National Environmental Management: Waste
Act (Act No. 59 of 2008), all municipalities are required to develop an Integrated Waste
Management Plan (IWMP). Senqu Municipality is currently in the process of developing its
IWMP for the period 2025 to 2029.
Members of the community, as well as interested and affected parties, are hereby invited to
submit written comments or representations on the draft Integrated Waste Management
Plan.
The draft IWMP can be accessed on the municipal website at www.senqu.gov.za or viewed
at the municipal offices during office hours (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30) at the
following address:

The draft plan will be available for public comment for a period of thirty (30) days from the
date of publication of this notice.
