PUBLIC COMMENTS FOR THE 2026/2027 DRAFT BUDGET, 2026/27 DRAFT IDP REVIEW,
2026/27 DRAFT SDBIP & 2026/27 DRAFT TARIFF STRUCTURE
Notice is hereby given in terms of Chapter 5 of the Municipal Systems Act, No 32 of 2000; Section 22
of the Municipal Finance Management Act, No 56 of 2003, Section 4 of the Municipal Property Rates
Act, No 6 of 2004, and Section 14(1) and (2) of the Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004; that at its
meeting held on the 31st March 2026, the Council resolved by way of council resolutions as follows:
To adopt the Draft IDP Review 2026/27;
To note the tabling of the annual Draft Budget 2026/27, its related draft policies and the Draft SDBIP 2026/27;
To note the tabling of levy the rates and taxes on property, tariffs on services and other tariffs as reflected in the schedule below with effect from 01 July 2026 to 30 June 2027

The 2026/27 Draft Budget, Draft Revised IDP 2026/27, SDBIP 2026/27 and Proposed Tariff
Structure for the 2026/2027 Financial Year are available on the municipal website at
www.senqu.gov.za from 10 April 2026.
All interested role players, stakeholders, ratepayers, organizations, etc. are hereby invited to
submit written comments and/or representations on the said documents on or before 16h00 on
Friday, the 08th May 2026. Comments / Oral representations can be made in person (Lady Grey), during IDP outreaches, to Ward Councilors or in writing to the officials mentioned below:

Mr. S Skampula for the Draft Budget at skampulas@senqu.gov.za;
